Pet Friendly Places to Stay in Birmingham City Centre, England

Birmingham may be the second largest city in England and there are certainly plenty of hotels and guest houses in the area but it may surprise you to learn that only a handful allow you to keep your pet in your room (pet friendly). The situation is even worse if you are looking to book a room in a city centre establishment. The following article lists those hotels (in Birmingham city centre) which specifically state in their policies that pets are allowed.
Have you ever suffered from the shear frustration of searching for a hotel that allows pets? Most hotels state that no pets are allowed so to help you the list below consists of hotels in Birmingham, England which allow pets. Pet friendly hotels sometimes charge a small fee for the pleasure but when you consider the possible extra cleaning required once you leave it is perfectly understandable, we have made mention of those hotels which specifically mention that there are no extra charges for pets as all but two places state that they may charge extra.
Those pet friendly hotels at the top of the list below are closest to the centre of the city but even those at the very bottom (furthest away) are within a mile of the exact centre of Birmingham.
Macdonald Burlington Hotel
The 4 star Macdonald Burlington is in the very centre of the city, 2-minute walk from New Street Rail Station and next to an NCP car park. 112 rooms.
Britannia Hotel
The 3 star Britannia is situated in the very centre of the city opposite New Street Rail Station. 195 rooms.
Radisson Sas
The 3 star Radisson Sas is just a minute or two from the centre of Birmingham, just 500 metres from the New Street Rail Station. 211 rooms and no extra charges for pets.
Ibis Birmingham City Centre
This 2 star Ibis hotel is just a little further out than the Radisson it has 159 rooms and does not charge extra for pets (the other Ibis below state in it's policies that charges may be applicable so do not get confused).
Crowne Plaza
The 4 star Crowne Plaza hotel is found on Holliday Street just minutes from the very centre of the city. 284 rooms.
Malmaison
The 3 star Malmaison Birmingham is another hotel within minutes of the very centre which is pet friendly. 189 rooms.
Ibis (Holloway Circus)
This Ibis hotel is a little further out than the one above but still within very easy reach of the very centre of the city. One of the smaller pet friendly hotels with 51 rooms.
Etap Hotel
The enormous (with 250 rooms) Etap offers pet friendly accommodation in the heart of Birmingham (just over half a mile from the exact centre) at a very reasonable price.
Novotel
The 4 star Novotel hotel, on Edward Street, offers slightly more expensive accommodation not far from the exact centre of the city. 148 rooms.
Paragon Hotel
The huge 3 (250 rooms) star Paragon is the last hotel on our list but it is only just over half a mile from the very centre and it often has cheap rooms if you want to risk a last minute booking.
For such a large city it is upsetting to see far too few hotels offering pet friendly accommodation so we strongly request that you take the greatest of care to ensure that your pet makes the most minimal impact. Sadly some pet owners do not realise that if an accommodation provider has a terrible experience with a pet they will simply not allow them in their property again, and that will spoil it for us all. One final word or warning is to book your hotel or guest house at the very earliest opportunity, although there are ten places above it can sometimes be difficult to find a room, especially if an important event is taking place in the city.
